HIGH POLISH
Repairing propellers is a craft that we do very precisely. We utilize the Hale MRI to scan each propeller to ISO 484 2 standards. We TIG Weld any missing material to make sure all the blades match perfectly. Propellers then get sanded and shaped, and a High Polish finish applied or painted. All propellers get balanced on our Static Balancer and all inboards on our Dynamic Balancer.
Hale MRI
The MRI is the latest cutting edge technology when it comes to computerized scanning. We invested into the MRI so we can effectively repair, tune, and increase performance on your vessel. The Hale MRI (Measurement Recording Instrument) transmits precise 3-D data from your propeller to our computer. Pitch, track, rake, spacing, and camber are recorded in order to optimize your propeller to the highest industry standards. The Hale MRI documents before and after reports of your propeller and stores it permanently for future repairs or other services. The MRI allows us to make these repairs very accurately to a Class S ISO Standard if necessary to provide a high quality repair or optimization.
DYNAMIC BALANCING
All propellers get balanced on the static balancer, this matches the weight of each blade. All of our inboard propellers get Dynamic Balanced which is done on the Dynamics Research 602. Propellers can be statically balanced and can have unbalanced forces in separate planes. By spinning the propeller at full rpm based on your gear ratio we can correct any unbalance that occurs.
The end result will be a true balanced propeller with increased efficiency, no vibration, and longer bearing life.

My Wife and I started M&W Marine Propellers in 2019 to serve the boating community; growing up around water our whole lives, we decided to open our own prop shop an help people repair, tune, and increase performance on their boats. We are able to do this with the best quality and precision using industry ISO 484 standards. We know first-hand just how bad it is being off the water with a damaged prop.
